16th August 2010George was in Ireland this weekend at the Mill Hill Shooting Ground, and here's his report of what he got up to...
We have just been to Mill Hill Shooting Ground in Dublin. I was coaching some Irish friends on the Saturday, and on the Sunday the ground held the last Irish Selection Shoot for FITASC.
Mill Hill Shooting Ground is a venue for the 2010 Home International Fitasc Event. Excellent ground where they use the topography very well, and I shot their course yesterday and it would have rivalled any target presentation I have shot this year. We shot the new system which was to shoot 100 Fitasc targets straight through, which worked very well.
This is the fourth year I have been going to Ireland to coach a few people, and their shooting has come on leaps and bounds. Kate and I are made to feel very welcome over in the Emerald Isle, and we want to thank everyone for making our weekend so special. We were presented with a beautiful painting of us on our wedding day (many years ago) which was a lovely touch.
