GEORGE PREPARES FOR RUSSIA TEST

George is looking to add another trophy to his collection this weekend as he participates in the European FITASC Championships in Russia.

The tournament, held in the country's historic St Petersburg, marks a return to European competition for Digweed, who missed the last event in Cyprus due to the flight disruption caused by the volcanic activity in Cyprus.

He has also struggled against a bout of ill health since winning the Pan African in Johannesburg earlier in the year after breaking a rib at the start of May.

Still, George has been on the course since Johannesburg, shooting in both competition - finishing second in the English open - and charity events - for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The European FITASC Championships begins on Thursday 27th May, with the winner being announced on Sunday 30th May.
