GEORGE ON THE CHRIS EVANS RADIO SHOW

George has been teaching BBC Radio 2 breakfast show host Chris Evans how to shoot today [Wednesday 10th February] as part of the presenter's Sporting Challenge.

Each week, Evans and his sports reporter Jonny Saunders participate in a different sport, with an expert in the field on hand for advice.

Previous weeks have seen the pair take on golf, ice hockey, darts and tennis and this week it's the turn of shooting, with George guiding them through.

After the challenge, George said on his Twitter page: "Had a brilliant morning with Chris Evans and Jonny Saunders, it was a real laugh. Can't tell you who won their challenge though! You will have to listen to Radio 2 to find out!"

Speaking on the show last Friday, GD explained the task: “You've got a two-fold competition; you are shooting clay pigeons and you're also shooting a fullbore rifle competition, which is a series of shots at a stationary target at a distance to be determined on the day.

"You'll be doing that with Parag Patel, who has won the Queen's Medal and the Commonwealth Games. And you're shooting clay pigeons with me. You'll be shooting two stands of ten targets of varying degrees of difficulty and we'll see how your hand-eye co-ordination is!"

Both Chris and Jonny are novice shooters, but George believes the experience of their previous sporting challenges may come in useful.

Speaking about how to take the perfect shot, George said: “Once you've come through the target from behind to give you the line of the target, you pull the trigger and keep the gun going.

"It's effectively the same as a tennis shot - you follow through after a tennis shot, you follow through after a golf shot.”

"All sports are the same, it's just humans make it very difficult!"
