2nd March 2011George's fantastic start to 2011 continued over the weekend as he picked up the Compaq and FITASC trophies in South Africa after another superb performance.
Hot off winning his eighteenth world title in New Zealand last month, George travelled to South Africa looking for yet more success.
And he wasn't disappointed. Basking in the warm South African sunshine, George shot a perfect 50/50 on the opening day and claimed another 49/50 on the second day, giving him an overall tally of 99/100.
Another 49/50 set followed on the Saturday and he finished the Sunday with an overall score of 196/200 - enough to seal the FITASC trophy, along with the Compaq he has already claimed earlier in the tournament.
It was a satisfying way to end a great stay in South Africa. When not in competition George was invited to watch the Stormers v Lions in Super 15 rugby action, and he was once again impressed by the country.
"It was a real pleasure coming here again after my success last year and seeing all my South African friends," George said after his victory.
"It's a lovely country, and the weather is absolutely fantastic. It was a real honour competing in a country with such a rich sporting heritage - and a privilege to see some Super 15 rugby!"
Of the victory itself, George added: "It continues what's been a really satisfying start to the new season for me.
"I've been travelling a lot recently - from England to New Zealand, from New Zealand to South Africa, and now I'm off to Russia.
"That's quite a distance to travel, and quite exhausting. So I'm really happy to still be shooting at such a high standard."
